Recent Technology and Devices That Have Altered The Human Race

Technology was coined from the Greek word technologia, which refers to a “skill” or an “art”. It simply refers to the utilization and cognition of techniques, tools or methods of organization. It could also mean the in-depth analysis of a concept or the proper knowledge of a field or subject area. The use of the word is relative, and can be applied to as many areas as possible. Mobile technology, car technology, medical technology, space technology and a host of other terms have been coined from the word. This is because the application of the word is limitless in the present world.
The impact of all the different technologies on humans is very significant. Technology started with the transformation of natural resources into elementary hand tools. Fire, for instance, played a great role in the advancement of prehistoric technology. Its discovery and control was the beginning of the many and has escalated to inexplicable heights like the internet today. It is pertinent to note that not all advancements in the field have fostered peace and made life easier. Nuclear weapons and their likes are of course, utterly destructive.

All the great economies in the world today depend on technology. It is safe to assume that they would not get this far but for technological advancements. There is also the issue of pollution and the depletion of natural resources as a result of processes that utilize technology. This reduces the quality of the earth and the value of the environment in general. Interestingly, recent studies have discovered that other primates carry out activities that point to an understanding of basic technology.

Technology – Meaning and Effects on Life

By Emmanuel Damisa

How Technology has evolved in the past

Technology is something that makes our world change in ways it hasn’t before. Science isn’t just a job, or profession. It’s something we all have deep within us. As we continue down our path of evolution, science begins to change our life in greater ways, our abilities and capabilities evolve, and our goals change. Modern science is changing the world we live in just as it has in our history, and soon things will begin to change at a more rapid pace. Take into account how it was only a few decades ago that people grew up without a telephone, without a car, and without a computer. When humans took science by the reigns and accomplished so much within decades, everyone and everything began to change for the better. These life changing moments, these inventions, these gizmo’s and gadgets are the very stepping stones that fueled us for the science we do today.

Where it’s heading today

So we’ve taken leaps through evolution throughout the last ten decades, but what about the world today and what’s going on to take us further? Maybe these inventions are more subtle now that we’re accustom to a quickly changing world, but they’re still very present. Take the recent production of the Apple iPhone or the Apple iPad. They were both so life changing, so powerful, that other companies started to follow Apple and it has started a race to the top. Now businesses are fighting to produce the next best copycat, or the next better device that rivals Apple’s products.

Car Runs on Water – Car Running on Water to Save Fuel

By Will Yap

Have you ever seen a car runs on water? If you were to surf the internet on car fuel saving ideas, you will come across a lot of videos showing vehicle that use water as an energy source. Is it real or just a hoax? Apparently, the technology to convert a car to run on water does exist and some people that adopted it has been experiencing substantial savings on their monthly gasoline costs. This article will lift the veil on the science behind car running on water.

Firstly, it has to be understood that by pouring water into the gas tank of your car is not a good idea. You will end up with a big repair bill at the end of the day. To use water as a fuel source, you have to extract one of its component which is hydrogen gas (H2). We know that water is made of 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen thus the chemical name H2O. In order the separate the H2, we need to use electrolysis.

Electrolysis is the process of flowing electricity current through electroplates submerged in water. When the electrolysis device is switched on, hydrogen gas will be produced. The next step is to vent the H2 into the engine air intake system. H2 can burn much faster than gasoline therefore when they are mixed in the combustion chambers, it will produce a higher engine power. The enriched mixture of hydrogen gas and gasoline will burn more efficiently with less emission. As an added advantage, the only by product is pure water vapor.
